welcome to my weird, slow moving art practice.

mosscult honours the spiral: the non linear paths of grief, healing, disability, rest and the mess of being alive.

this project works at the pace of care, and resisting urgency and productivity as a measure of worth. moss does not rush or dominate its environment;

it gathers, repairs and makes conditions for others. guided by these teachings*, here softness is powerful, slowness is radical and resistance is imperative work.

zine club - issue 01
from $0.00

This is the first offering (issue 01) of zine club.

this first iteration will include zines on: numerology, zodiacs, rituals and the mundane.

this first iteration will be supporting: Friends of Ruby: an organization dedicated to the well-being of 2SLGBQTIA+ youth through mental health services, social services & housing supports.

ZINE CLUB

Zine Club is a small offering. It will move slowly, and resist urgency and accumulation. This project is a circle//loop//spiral of making, giving and returning.

Every few months, a bundle 4-6 small, limited print zines will be made available. The packs will be made available on a sliding scale of 4-10$, with a free option always available. Every bundle will also include one blank zine page: an invitation (not a requirement to make something, to share it or cherish it.

The funds collected from each offering are used first to cover printing costs. remaining funds will be donated directly to a named, care-aligned charity or mutual aid organization.

I strive to let this project be a slow, trust-based, and transparent system of circulation and care.

What is a ZINE?

a zine is a small, self-published booklet—often handmade, photocopied, folded, and shared outside of traditional publishing systems. zines have a long history of being made by people who were excluded from, or uninterested in, mainstream media and institutions. they’ve been used to share ideas, stories, and survival knowledge across communities—especially within feminist, queer and trans, disabled, punk, anti-racist, and anti-colonial movements.

zine culture resists polish, profit, and scale, favouring care, experimentation, and connection instead.

mistakes, handwriting, and uneven edges are part of the language.

…through zine club, you are invited to enter this circle of creation, connection, and quiet circulation.

  • Each iteration of this offering will hold 4-6 zines.

They are not meant to be rare or pristine. They are meant to be passed along, lost, shared, folded, bookmarked, and found.

the zines may move through recurring threads: everyday acts of care, public space and care infrastructure, refusal, anti-capitalism and anti-colonial practices of resurgence, memory carried by land and bodies, disability justice, resistance, dreaming, failing, trying.

  • Each order is offered on a sliding scale of 4$ to 10$, with a free option always available.

You are invited to choose the price that is most accessible to you in this moment, no questions, no explanations.

Funds from each bundle will used intentionally and transparently:

    • First to cover basic printing costs.

    • Then, support a chosen charity or mutual aid organization (the amount donated will be shown here).

    Note about Cost Model:

I have the privilege of grounding this project outside of a profit model. This is of course rooted in trust, redistribution and shared responsibility.

If you pay more, you help hold space for someone else.

If you access through the free model, please know that taking what you need is part of how this project stays alive.

  • each iteration of the offering supports a chosen care-aligned charity or mutual aid organization.

funds beyond printing costs are donated directly to the named organization, and the amount shared will reflect participation across the sliding scale. this project is not a registered charity—donations are made in direct relation to each offering.

zine club moves at the pace of care, slowly and intentionally making space for others.

  • each offering will include one blank, foldable zine page. there are no expectations to do anything with it.

    you might:

    • make something small & honest for your bedside table.

    • leave it in a Little Free Library, bus stop or public space.

    • give it to someone.

    • or send it to me and be included in a future round*.

if you want to learn more about making a zine, you can check our this resource.

*participation is entirely optional, and every page is welcome as it is.
